Loop Rawlins is one of the most versatile Western performers in the world today. His act of trick roping, whip cracking and fancy gun spinning has thrilled thousands of audiences.
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, As a kid Loop loved adventure movies and always had a knack for entertaining. So, when he saw western skills for the first time he was inspired to learn the technique. After a three year run with Cirque Loop continued performing at several high end events including opening for country music stars and performing for celebrities. He also appeared on the summer hit television show, 'America's Got Talent', making it to the Quarterfinals.
After a show at another local guest ranch, he approached the White Stallion. That was a sad day. Rawlins has whipped himself onstage. Under a full moon, a Western sound-track draws guests as they finish their dinners. As they settle into patio chairs, Rawlins emerges dressed all in black, pearl-handled guns nestled in a black leather holster. It gets better.
After a series of increasingly complicated spins and tosses, eventually throwing guns over his shoulders and catching them, Rawlins turns in a circle while spinning a gun horizontally in each hand. He moved back to Tucson after the show closed in , with more than 1, performances under his belt.
You really are superb and superior. On the set of Kingsman , he worked with people who had fame and money. Like martial artist Jackie Chan, Rawlins can imagine movies as a sideline, but performing live is his life, he says. Wives, have your husbands been behaving?
Descending into a one-handed handstand, he spins the loop up and over his body with the other hand. The crowd groans when Rawlins announces the show is almost over. Spinning a vertical loop larger than he is tall, he jumps from side to side through it, like skipping rope.
