The boys did their part in raising awareness and raising money to help to one day create an MS free world. The message the boys received Sunday was simple. On their own, they can't cure MS, but together, each step the took was one step closer towards a cure and creating an MS free world.

Spring Break Bash. San Clemente, CA March , The boys faced the Lumberjacks out of L. The boys showed both some great offense and defense throughout the tourney. In the Championship, they played a very well-matched Show team and eventually gave up just one run in the bottom of the sixth inning, which wound up being the only run scored in the game.

Our hats are off to the Show for a very well-played game and tournament and a well-deserved Championship. Spring Training Championships. Phoenix, AZ March , What a weekend of baseball! Looking at the pool play bracket, the boys were definitely going to have their work cut out for them. As it proved, three out of the four teams in their bracket made it to D1 or D2 Championship games. Through it all, the boys put up 77 runs to their opponents 9, went and brought the Championship home to San Diego.

The boys were once again hosted by The San Diego Padres at their spring training facility. The boys were given a complete tour including their workout facility. Another great weekend for the SKLZ. With a desire for a new challenge, the boys decided to step up and compete in the 14 U division in a tournament stacked with a lot of tough competition.

After three hard fought games and a couple of impressive wins, the boys fought their way into the Majors division bracket. In the Majors Championship, the Flyers proved to be a little too much for the boys, giving the boys a second place for the tournament. Next competition will be in Arizona at the Spring Training Championships. Because not everyone chooses the winning team The boys put on another great showing, playing seven great games of baseball this weekend. With competition such as the Slam, The Edge, The Dukes, and the Minnesota Blizzard, the boys had no easy task ahead of them to make it to the Championship in this tournament.

In the end, they brought home a second place and put up some very impressive numbers both at the plate, and in the field. The boys spent the morning on Christmas Eve visiting and talking with the residents during this special time of year. Each boy carried 50 roses and presented them to each Oakmont resident as they stopped to share in some special holiday cheer. Merry Christmas to all! Turkey Trot Rings.

Poway, CA November , The SKLZ brought home another second place this weekend. The boys left the pool play day with the 1 seed.

Once again, the Championship game against the Show took them into another California tie-breaker. In the end, the Show took a one run lead to win the game Fall Classic. Poway, CA October , The boys kicked off their 13u season this weekend and did so in Championship fashion. This being the first tournament the boys have played since traveling to Cooperstown, and playing on new dimensions, no one was quite sure what to expect.

In true SKLZ fashion, the boys came out swinging early and showed they were ready to compete. After winding up the first seed in their bracket by winning both games by mercy rule, the boys went into Sunday with a tough challenge of 3 straight games against some of the best competition in San Diego. With two impressive victories in tournament play and a hard fought Championship win over a very game Slam, the boys showed that they were ready to compete in the 13U division.

Cooperstown Dreams Park. Through six games the SKLZ came out the 1 seed out of all teams by winning 5 out of 6 games by mercy rule and having the fewest runs scored against them of any team in the tournament! The SKLZ went on to win two more games and eventually gave up a loss to a very game Tidewater Drillers team from Virginia, who later went on to the Championship game.

The SKLZ wound up with a 5th place for the tournament and came away with memories to last them a lifetime. The SKLZ played 7 games in 5 straight days and showed great heart and some extreme perseverance.
