Sysco jacksonville employees

If you have back problems I highly recommend to stay away because you will be lifting it in bad angles that are now good for your back. I think the worst part is having to look for cases in pallets.

Overall its decent pay, and most days are good. Pros Work by yourself, not too stressful. Cons hard on back, pay. Hard work for most people. Day starts at 2am get done around 4 to 5 pm.

Trailers are never loaded the way you think they should be. Pay is really good but it's hand's down hardest job I've had. Pros Pay check. Cons No breaks, long hours, always being told do the best you can. Jobs at Sysco. Warehouse Order Selector. Great place to work and grow loved the culture of the company. The work life balance was amazing and at the time the vendors were unmatched.

Management is super helpful. The company regionalized wanting to move toward an all one Sysco Approach. What they uncovered through the regionalization is how different each operating site is, and senior leadership at these operating companies are very resistant to the new direction Sysco's CEO is taking us in which in my opinion will expand the business, but also eliminate further jobs.

Pros Great Benefits, great people to work with. Cons No work life balance, long hours, barebones staffing. Unless you are related to the right person or in the right click you will stagnate in the same position forever. No recognition for a job done well every day. No recognition for working overtime to help in other departments.

Only focus on truck drivers. They are GODS and everyone else is insignificant. No bonuses unless you are a driver. Toxic environment. Pros Only for drivers. Cons Made to feel less than if you are not a driver.

Unethical corporate management team. I would not recommend this company except as a stepping stone for a real career. Poor work life balance and will fire you in a minute.

Benefits expensive and not very good. They are no compliant with federal regulations. Pros Experience. Cons Culture, unethical, hostile environment, does not really care about the safety of their people.

Very tough work, long hours, forced overtime since it is union based. Although you can make alot of money if you don't want a life. Great benefits and insurance though.

Pros Benefits, k, incentives. Cons Tough work, long hours, union based. On the other hand, if you like to work and be productive you can make a lot of money. Working hours a week, getting production incentive pay, getting bonuses every week for attendance and low errors, all of this factors are what make people stay.

Pros Pay, benefits, fun co-workers. I was hired as a yard spotter. A few words of advice: this isn't like a normal yard spotter job where you're in a yard goat moving trailers between the yard and docks. Other than that you'll fuel and wash trailers. Shifts are needlessly long, as in twelve hours to fourteen hours a day. It's not that we have a lot of moves which can easily be completed within eight hours, it's all the extra stuff involved in the Sysco process that makes things difficult.

Benefits are nice Pay is below competitive rates for regular yard spotter jobs in my area, and it's bi-weekly. Management and coworkers are generally helpful, friendly, and approachable.

I think the biggest culture shock is that most of the new hires including myself find Sysco style yard spotting so vastly different than normal yard spotting. We have plenty of guys who know how to hostle, but they'll show up the first day and not return from lunch. Or some will stay a few days and one day and simply not show up. I personally don't plan to stick around if that tells you anything. Pros Benefits. Cons No Yard Management System.

Good money, but you have to work for it, just like any other place.

A lot of people complain about this company, but like any company you only get what you put into it. Cons Hard work. You literally work hours every day. No joke. The pay is amazing but your in there more than regular life. And the point system is trash. If you miss days for legitimate reasons your done. That whole place needs to do sometimes because it got ridiculous.

Pros Pay. Cons Short breaks. No life outside of work. Body hurting. Productive place to work. Great pay but hard work. Seasonal, so it's a roller coaster of long nights and some short nights but not many. Be prepared for hard physical work, sore backs, and legs. But the harder you work the more you can get paid. Pros More work you do the more you can make. Claimed Profile. Want to know more about working here? Ask a question about working or interviewing at Sysco.
