You just will not find better!!!! Nick B. June 28, 5 Long Automotive. Our household has two cars that we have been taking to Long's for service for several years. We have found them to be fair and professional to deal with. When my car's brakes were squeaking, I was prepared for some major costly repairs, but they tested the brakes and said they were safe, and they would not need servicing for several thousand more miles as long as I didn't mind the noise.
On other occasions they have always offered us lower cost options for fixing our car's ills. If it's a minor repar, they sometimes have not even charged anything, such as when my tire needed a puncture repaired. Oil changes and lube jobs are handled quickly and economically. They are an asset to our neighborhood, and I highly recommend them to friends and neighbors who need an auto mechanic.

Long is not a salesman and wont chat you up; he will fix your car for a couple hundred dollars less than anywhere else! I have a late model Honda and have used Long for about 4 years.
I won't go into the horror stories that led me to Long--getting ripped off and losing a car to a very disreputable mechanic that is, Celebrity on Hyperion --but findings Long's shop was like reaching a safe harbor in a sea of lying, cheating and downright sinister garages along the way the worst being those chains, like Discount Tires, etc.
Long is knowledgeable, fast, affordable, has a no-nonsense approach and is above all, honest. His employees are all equally courteous. They don't try to be your friends and chat you up, they just fix your car.
Each visit, the service is done faster than I expected and cheaper. They never come at you with this, "I don't know what the problem is, so I replaced your alternator and fuel line They get them in, fix them, and get them out. I've driven past the shop in the evenings and seen all the bay doors open as they worked into the night.
Always open on Saturdays, holidays. It's almost strange to see them closed. I recommend them completely and whole-heartedly. If you need a mechanic on the east side or anywhere else for that matter , Long is the place to go.
